MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS ON APRIL 4, 2023


FROM OUR COUNTY CLERK'S WEBSITE:  As with all general municipal elections, this will be the time for city council/ mayoral/ city attorney/municipal judge elections and the time to elect members to school, fire, ambulance and public water supply district boards.  There will also be a Phelps Health Hospital Trustee (one five-year term) on the ballot.  Some cities may not have an election for anything other than councilperson/alderperson.

GENERAL INFORMATION

WHEN & WHERE TO VOTE:  Polls are open from 6 a.m. -7 p.m.  on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.  Your polling place is indicated on your Voter Registration Card.  If you are uncertain, or if you have any questions about where to vote, contact the Phelps County Clerk's office.  If you have questions about what constitutes an approved ID, contact our County Clerk or go to the Missouri Secretary of State's website (see url below).

ID IS REQUIRED: All voters will be required to show approved identification before being allowed to vote.  See https://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/goVoteMissouri/howtovote#forms for information on ID required to vote.  Note that this changed in 2022 and a current photo ID issued from the state of Missouri or the US Federal government is required.  This cannot be a student ID.  Also no out of state driver's licenses will be accepted.  Be prepared and go to the polls with acceptable ID.

SPECIAL NOTE:  Municipal elections are nonpartisan: candidates are not elected by political party.
