Angie Honse Dunlap, President of the League of Women Voters of Metro Saint Louis, to speak at Democratic Club of Phelps County General Meeting May 27, 2021.

Rolla, Missouri - The Democratic Club of Phelps County (DCPC) will host Angie Honse Dunlap, President of the League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis, at the club’s general meeting on May 27, 2021.

The meeting will be held at Rolla’s Lions Club Park in Pavilions 1 & 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Phelps County Courthouse.

Ms. Dunlap will speak on issues of concern being debated in the Missouri Legislature and the effect of the Legislature’s actions on all Missouri voters. She is a native of Vienna, Missouri who received a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Missouri S&T.

Club meetings are free and open to the public; all are invited and welcome to attend.

  • LOCATION: Lions Club Park – Phelps County Courthouse
  • TIME: Potluck dinner at 5:00 pm. Presentation begins at 6:00 pm followed by business meeting. Those who do not wish to participate in the potluck dinner are encouraged to come by 6:00 pm for the main presentation and brief business meeting.

The May meeting will begin with a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. - attendees are asked to bring a dish or dessert to share. Drinks and tableware will be provided. The club’s business meeting will begin after the dinner and will end with Ms. Dunlap’s presentation.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization founded in 1920 with the mission of “empowering voters and defending democracy.” The League “envisions a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge and the confidence to participate.”

The Democratic Club of Phelps County was founded in 1932. The club seeks to: (1) expand our base and membership, (2) provide educational opportunities, and (3) support our candidates.
