May General Meeting
Focus on K-12 Education and Local Candidates
The Phelps County Democratic Club is pleased to announce the May 2024 General Meeting to be held May 23 at the Phelps County Courthouse's Community Meeting Room. We will focus on our local communities this evening by discussing K-12 Education with a Rolla School Board member, Jessica Barron. Jessica will join us via video as she discussed the state of K-12 education in District 31 with Club member and retired Rolla Public School Teacher Gerry Brunton. In addition, we will have Chase Lambert, school board member from the Phelps County R-III District, joining us to speak about concerns from a more rural district.
We will also be joined by local candidates Tara Anura (House District 122 candidate); Bernadette Holzer (House District 143 candidate)(not confirmed); and Randi McCallian (Cong District 8 candidate). These local candidates will talk about their plans for office and give everyone an opportunity to ask questions and provide support as they head into the final months of the 2024 campaign season.

6:00 p.m. Pot-Luck Dinner; Tonight we will be focused on SALAD. Please bring a salad (can be any type from lettuce to macaroni!) and/or accompanying dish (e.g., bread/cheese/crackers) at around 5:45 p.m.
