  • The Holiday Dinner is the Democratic Club's annual special event to celebrate the holiday season. A dinner will be provided by Colton's. Cash bar will be available. Price includes tax and gratuity. Options to donate to the Club are provided. These options are absolutely not required for the dinner.

Greetings all,

We will gather this holiday season to share a meal with friends, hear about what is happening in the Missouri legislature and discuss accomplishments for this year and plans for next.  Please join us!

LOCATION: Colton's in Rolla

TIME:  Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.  Doors will be open and drinks available beginning at 4:30 p.m (Cash bar in the room).  

COST: $35.00 per person

DINNER Buffet with:

  • Entree choices: grilled shrimp; grilled pork chop; pasta alfredo (no bacon) (you will confirm your entree choice when you register)
  • House salad
  • Smashed potatoes
  • Green beans
  • Dessert choices: cheesecake, bread pudding
  • Rolls, butter
  • Tea, water, lemonade
  • Cash bar available

REGISTRATION:  November 1 - December 4, 2024.

Our speaker for the evening will be Representative Steve Butz.  Here is some background information about Steve:

Representative Steve Butz, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis City (District 81) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.

In addition to serving in the legislature, Butz is the president of the Crawford-Butz Insurance Agency. He received the President's Choice Award from Safeco Insurance in 2018. Butz is also a managing partner for Eagle Hurst Ranch in Steelville.

A lifelong resident of south St. Louis, Butz currently resides there with his wife, Angie. They have six children and eight grandchildren.  *Note that Steve is the brother of retired Rolla City administrator, John Butz.

Steve will be talking with us about his experience as a member of the Missouri legislature and the best ways to influence our state legislature.  He will begin speaking at approximately 6:30 p.m.
